My professional approach is fun, relaxed and creative while focusing on taking photos both in the studio and in the local community to insure they don’t appear staged or stiff. My images capture wonderful moments that can be enjoyed and cherished throughout the years. I always hear people talk about how the camera captures the soul of the person they are photographing. I don’t believe that, I think I am capturing that moment. I think it’s about what is happening at that moment, the interaction between the people or person and what I can get out of them with our interaction. I get to freeze time at those once in a lifetime moments. That magical moment when everyone is holding their breath waiting for the bride to walk down the aisle or the father is sobbing because his little girl is getting married or a baby is taking its first steps. Luckily for me, I get to use my camera to capture the miraculous birth of babies, gorgeous weddings and High School seniors celebrating their graduation. It’s such a special gift to give another person: the gift of memories. You can’t get time back; once it’s gone it’s gone. But for one brief moment, you can freeze time with the art and science of photography and convey the joy you are feeling to your friends, family and the world. My goal to shoot classic and timeless images that convey the joy you are feeling to your friends, family and the world. To make something people will want to print big and hang in their home for generations. I like to see the light and use it to shape and manipulate, to make the unbelievable, believable. My style is creatively playful.
A little bit about my family.…I have been married for the last 24 years, my husband and I have raised our three beautiful children in Orange County, California. All the kids are adults now so my husband and I are busy with our careers and supporting the kids still in college as they build their future.
Giving Back..In 2010, I started working with a charity called "Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep,” which helps families with infants that have passed. If you want to learn more about this wonderful organization go to the following link: http://www.nowilaymedowntosleep.org
I want to help tell your story through photography. Hope to work with you soon. Thanks, Lisa
